WATER MONITORING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!Water Monitoring Training Sessions BeginMarch 29, 2006 -- The North Fork Watershed Project is looking for volunteers to collect water samples from Tucker County streams and participate in a learning program about basic stream characteristics. People of all ages are encouraged to participate. Volunteers are needed to take water samples once a month for the next two years. The work requires nothing more than an interest in improving the watershed and a desire to be outside and in the streams. Water-proof waders are available for participants. Volunteers with knowledge of ArcView, GPS, graphic design, or a strong interest in computers are also needed to help compile water data samples into graphs and reports. Training Dates: Saturday April 1, 2006; 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Thomas Education Center located on Brown and Third Streets in Thomas, West Virginia. Next to the Catholic Church.
